I purchased this 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha open-top pickup in May 2025, becoming its second owner. The truck remained with its original owner in California from new until I acquired it. It is finished in Flame Red Pearl over Ebony and Brown leather, and power comes from a 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel V8 paired with a five-speed Allison M74 automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
The truck features a black soft top, a 16k-lb winch, a black-finished brush guard, auxiliary lights, inboard disc brakes, and a Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS). It is also equipped with the Off-Road Adventure Package, which includes electronically locking front and rear differentials and 17″ two-piece dual-beadlock wheels. Additional equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, keyless entry, a Lowrance navigation system, a Monsoon audio system, and four bucket seats.
Since purchasing the H1, I have completed a number of upgrades and maintenance items. I installed an Alpine head unit with Apple CarPlay, a rearview camera, a CTIS quick disconnect, LED headlights, replacement tires, and replacement front axles. I also had the truck aligned and installed replacement gauge bezels and lenses. The undercarriage components were refinished in March 2025.
Hummer produced just 729 examples of the H1 Alpha, and mine is finished in Flame Red Pearl (R35). Exterior equipment includes the removable black soft top, 16k-lb winch, black brush guard, clamshell hood, heated windshield, Baja Designs auxiliary lights, aluminum rocker panel guards, exposed door hinges, and a trailer towing system. I installed the LED headlights under my ownership.
The Carfax report notes damage reports in January 2010, although no additional information was provided, as well as an April 2011 entry indicating a sideswipe collision. Under previous ownership, the hood, right rocker panel, and right quarter panel were repaired and refinished in April 2008. The hood was later sanded and repainted a second time in March 2025.
The H1 is equipped with 17″ dual-beadlock forged aluminum wheels, four-wheel inboard disc brakes, and a Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS), which allows me to adjust tire pressure from a control mounted on the dashboard. The suspension was previously modified with revised springs and Rod Hall remote-reservoir shocks.
I installed Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires measuring 37×12.50″. I also added the CTIS quick disconnect and had the truck aligned under my ownership.
Inside, the Ebony and Brown leather upholstery covers four bucket seats. Interior equipment includes heated front seats, remote keyless entry, a LoJack system, Lowrance navigation, a Monsoon audio system, air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows and locks. I upgraded the audio system with an Alpine head unit featuring Apple CarPlay and added a rearview camera.
The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer, a 5k-rpm tachometer, and supplementary gauges for transmission fluid temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. A tire pressure gauge is mounted adjacent to the CTIS switches. The digital odometer currently indicates approximately 96,000 miles, with about 1,000 miles added since I purchased the truck. I also installed replacement gauge bezels and lenses.
The 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel V8 produced 300 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is sent to all four wheels through the five-speed Allison M74 automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and electronically locking front and rear differentials. The truck is equipped with dual fuel tanks and driveline protection guards. The undercarriage components were refinished in March 2025, and I also replaced the front axles.
